Received my remote and 13ci bottle today, so had a chance to do some comparative testing between CO2 and air with my TiPX. I'd seen a lot of people complaining that they're unable to chrono above 250 with the TiPX when running remote, presumably due to the difference in pressure between a 12g CO2 sparklet and a standard HPA tank reg.
Test was using a standard Umarex 12g (for CO2) and a GI Sportz 13ci tank with nominal 800psi output pressure, filled to 2000psi.
Same paint used in both tests, same weather conditions, same chrono (X-radar). Seems that a 800psi output reg doesn't really cut it with the TiPX, with an average 47fps drop over CO2.
Luckily my first magfed game will be Underworld, where the chrono limit is 250fps, but after that I'll certainly be checking out the 900psi output Ninja regs that are being sourced by SAS woodsball: http://www.sasmilsim.com/hpatank.html
