Received my remote and 13ci bottle today, so had a chance to do some comparative testing between CO2 and air with my TiPX. I'd seen a lot of people complaining that they're unable to chrono above 250 with the TiPX when running remote, presumably due to the difference in pressure between a 12g CO2 sparklet and a standard HPA tank reg.

Test was using a standard Umarex 12g (for CO2) and a GI Sportz 13ci tank with nominal 800psi output pressure, filled to 2000psi.

Code:
 # CO2 HPA
 1 283 255
 2 290 248
 3 294 239
 4 294 251
 5 280 245
 6 281 235
 7 296 239
 8 287 235
 9 284 237
10 300 245
11 292 243
12 293 246
13 296 251
14 295 245
15 294 246
16 291 248
17 301 243
18 302 246
19 286 239
20 299 245
Same paint used in both tests, same weather conditions, same chrono (X-radar). Seems that a 800psi output reg doesn't really cut it with the TiPX, with an average 47fps drop over CO2.

Luckily my first magfed game will be Underworld, where the chrono limit is 250fps, but after that I'll certainly be checking out the 900psi output Ninja regs that are being sourced by SAS woodsball: http://www.sasmilsim.com/hpatank.html

are you sure the g.i. sports bottle is actually putting out 800 psi? people running hammer 7's sometimes have trouble getting past the 240-250 fps mark, i'd try another bottle on it or test the output.... another thing you might find interesting is i remember reading somewhere the tpx has a regulator that brings the internal pressure down to run the spool valve as a low pressure marker, when i remember where i read it i'll source it...
