CO2 Leak on Autococker

I have just bought a second hand Autococker.

It is fairly standard except for a Kapp 3-way and an ANS Jackhammer 2.

I am using CO2 and there is a leak from the bolt when I gas up.

When I first got the marker I fired it a few times before realising that the bolt was in upside down, I don't know if that would have damaged any seals?

Any suggestions?

Also do I need to put o-rings on my cocker barrels.

Thanks,
Roland

Philip brings up a reaaally good point. If the cocker has a low-pressure valve like the Tornado or the Rat, you need to cock it before you gas it up. All you have to do is pull the cocking rod on the back until it clicks. Even expensive custom cockers do it. It's funny that the more expensive autocockers don't even autocock anymore.

If you're comfortable with it, I would take the valve out, and inspect it. You'll need a Autococker valve removal tool- it can be done without it, but the tool saves quite some time, and you don't risk messing up anything. If you still want instructions, I can walk you through it. If not, I would take it to someone you trust that knows a little about cockers.

Video!

Sounds like a leak in the valve if its coming from the inside of the body (not a lot else it can be if it is as described). If you are going to look at it yourself, then you might want to have watched the "Tech Trix" video on cocker maintenance. There was somebody offering them on VCD, they are a bit dull, but show you how to take the thing apart and to reasseble it. Can't rember who I'm afraid.

You could of-course ask an airsmith to have a look, though that isn't (usually) free.

Good luck
