Ok need some help because this has really confused me now.

I have a shocker sport with maxy reg. My bottle is a 1.1 3000 Psi Luxfer half fibre wrap bottle.

Due to the Shocker's awful effiency I need to be able to use CO2 sometimes, and the guy that sold me the gun said he had checked with SP Europe and they said it was fine to fill the bottle with CO2 - it even has an anti-syphon installed!

However people have been telling me I can't put CO2 in the bottle because it will destroy it or something. Which is right?

It's not a good idea to fill bottles marked for air, with co2. If for no other reason than the gases are not the same. But saying that you should have no physical problems filling an air tank with co2.

Something to do with the fibre-wrap shrinking and expanding due to the change in temp?
Not saying I don't appreciate what people have said already but can anyone give me a yes or no answer - with reason, if I can or cannot fill my half fibre bottle with CO2 without damage.

i seem to remember reading somewhere that once you have filled an air bottle with co2 that its a bad idea to then use it for air

i have seen several people use 1.1l wrapped bottles for co2 on shockers before.
might be worth a search

I've just rung Hpac, and they don't know. They've said that it is illegal to fill an air bottle with co2, because of the different gases.

try on the classifieds...most ballers that have played for a couple of years or so will have a 20oz kicking about......not sure on the testing of co2 bottles so best to check that
