How do ya clean your markers and what do you use?

What you have to clean them

Halfords bike degreaser,`cos its safe on plastic,metals and rubber.Costs £5 for a big spray and it don't stink out your house/shed/garage etc.Plus you can put the can in your kit bag and use it on site.

Yeah,WD40 seems to get the universal thumbs down,and anything graphite based seems a no no.Delrin also supposedly swells up in contact with oil !

Just how dirty does your marker get ?

If u are gonna use after market products only use water base degreasers.
I just give it a DAMN GOOD SCRUBBING with a soft towel then reoil the beauty/s -"The labour of love" i call it,others call it perversion.

I just usually pop the valve out, wipe off any crud with some loo roll, buff things a bit with a clean(ish) rag, oil and reassemble.

No WD40?

Interesting you say no WD40. I always take the bolt out of my cocker degrease it with WD40, dry it off then re-oil
