Cleaning a reg

I have been getting pretty inconsistent readings over the chrony (I am on air) and thought it might be down to my Ergo regulator having dirt in it. If it is the reg, should I clean it and how do I clean it?
If there is something else it might be, could you please say.

How inconsistant?If its +20 fps or more it may need timing, other wise just strip down the reg, remembering which order it came out in, clean it, lube it lightly and put it back in.

I thought ergo regs only went on cockers?
It's been doing everything between 265 and 290. Its really poor.
I was down on monday but forgot to ask him. I will try and clean it tonight. Do I just use cotton buds, water, cloth?

No, ergo regs fit any gun with an asa.

To clean it, try using anything lint free, such as tissue....make sure you completely clean everything, then relube it before putting it back together. Good luck
