im guessing it was a devious plan by dye.
they put a small microchip into the electronics of the dm6. then. after its been out a year they were programmed to explode and destroy all the workings inside the gripframe. there they would not work anymore and would be useless to anyone which would for them to sell and buy a new marker i.e the dm7.
