I have been looking to get some new kit lately from the classifieds but i am getting a bit concerned about the problems people are having recieving stuff, and the way sellers are getting messed around. I know this is only a small minority and i have brought from here before with no problem. what could be done about it, people have suggested ebay style feed back but it is easy to change usernames once you have been given bad feedback.
If this continues what will happen to the classifieds as no one will trush each other and sales will decline.
Before you go off on one i have not had trouble myself in the passed (brought 2 markers,2 a.i.r. various clothing ect)but it is starting to get more common.

ANY VIEWS?????

Buyer beware. What else can you say? Know who you're buying from. Make sure to exhange addresses, phone numbers (confirm both), feedback, and meet locally if it's at all possible. Use a reputable field or pro shop as a third party for trades, most are happy to do it for a minimal fee. Just don't be a dummy and buying and selling used gear should go smoothly.

Just use your common sense.

Would you buy something of ebay, that did not have a photo, or the seller had just joined and had no feed back??

Most of the people on here, are honest and reliable and the ones that are not, do not stay long.....

Ask around about people, watch the classifieds, and buy from people who buy, sell or trade a lot......no worries.

If in doubt post a request for feedback on someone.

I have never been ripped off on p8ntballer yet. I have bought and sold loads of kit.

Some and I say SOME, of the younger ballers are not dishonest they just suck at life. They can barely wipe their own bottoms let alone send a parcel out on time.

I have found the forum to be a safe place to deal, communication is the key, and if in doubt get feed back.

Tom i think youve hit on a great idea there it would certainly work for the more established members just leaves the noobs struggling to get a foot hold on the boards. i suppose there needs to be a bit of trust in everything we do ,just a shame there is a minority spoiling it for everyone else.

ps i would spend till xmas looking at your previous posts :)

i dont see why we cant have a feedback section, its something genuine seller will take a pride in, and as with feedback on ebay if you change your user name etc then you'll loose you feedback. it seems the only way togo, i havnt been ripped off yet, i dont think, but i have had a £300 marker go missing in the post and more than a few people say they'll take something and leave me hanging. but over all the guys on here seem pretty good.
