Is is possible to completly overhaul a classic timmy and upgrade it with the new version timmy parts to make it almost like a new timmy. Things like grip frame, board, ram cap, feed tube, delrin bolt, remove the chrome 3 piece reg and replace with the newer 2 piece reg etc etc.

Or, are the classic timmy's and the newer timmy's just too different and the parts incompatible?

no he won't?!?!

it'll cost you about a quarter (200 to 250) to a half of what a brand new one costs.

The dualies on the classics are supposed to be better than the newer two piece type and allow for lower operating pressures...

one problem you will find tho is that you cannot get parts over here...you'll have to get grip frames from the states and then you may be hard pressed as they aren't producing much aftrmarket bits now that the alias models are out.

you can replace nearly everything, the main thing you can't replace is the threaded feedneck for a more recent and much stronger press fit version. although you can get threaded clamping necks. Also you wont be able to get an Empire frame easily if at all.

I still prefer the old dual reg design with an LP mod, most consistant I've ever shot.

Cost wise you're looking at a lower total cost probably.

However all told I'd probably still get a 2K2 as I hate the threaded feednecks
