CLARIFICATION LOCKED ROSTER RULE
Millennium Series 2005 – Clarification Locked Roster Rules

According to the new 2005 transfer rule (no. 3.07), the rosters of each team playing the Iberian Cup in Madrid as their fifth Millennium Series Event were locked after registration for the fourth event, which was Campaign Cup.

Therefore you are allowed to play with all players which have a valid 2005 ID card for your team AND did not change the team after applying for this ID Card.

You are also allowed to play with all players who are on the roster of Campaign Cup.

huuu ????? :)
that part confused me....

Shall I read :
Therefore you are allowed to play with all players which have a valid 2005 ID card for your team AND did not change the team after applying for the ID Card issued at fourth event, which was Campaign Cup

???

I understood that if someone played 4 legs on a team, this player is 'locked' and cannot play with another team for the last leg (Spain). Wich mean that I'm allow to make a team caller ABC with players that have already played 3 events with team XYZ.. that's still the case?

and btw .. point 3.07 says that is aplicable to Championsleague, Div.1 and, Div 2 teams.... everyone can go play in DIV 3 then ? :)

3.07 After a team’s 4th Millennium Series event the roster of Championsleague, Div.1 and Div 2 teams are fixed as they are at the beginning of the 4th event and cannot be changed for future events in that season.

Well...... As I see it, this rule only applies to teams that have either played less than 4 MS events this year OR plays in div. 3 !

I´m just wondering if it works both ways - I mean for the players individually - let´s say someone played 4 events this year (for one or different teams), could he then actually guestplay with a team that has played less than 4 events or plays in div. 3? I would say yeah, but I´m a bit confused on this rule - nothing in the rulebook states otherwise...... It says the teams are locked - but how about the players on the roster, are they "locked" as well to play with the team in question only?

Example: An XSV player wants to guestplay with a div. 1/2 team which have only played three events prior to Madrid - what is the take on that?

well how about this one:

- following this statement
"Therefore you are allowed to play with all players which have a valid 2005 ID card for your team AND did not change the team after applying for this ID Card "

It means that Jon Dho who played with us the first and second leg and played 3rd leg with 'Whatever' is not allowed to play anymore in my team. BUT... 'Tim Dho' who played 3 legs on team 'Whatever' can play the last leg on my team because he never apllied for an ID card for my team before....

???

scratch... scratch ....

No - it means that a player who was registrated as part of your teams roster at the beginning of Campaign (or have a valid ID card for your team from prior events in 2005) can play with the team in Madrid.......

IF it is NOT your teams 5th event both "Jon Dho" and "Tim Dho" can enter - if it IS your 5th event, neither of them can enter your team no matter how many events they played with you this year, if only their last valid ID card is not for your team!

It is the last effectuated ID card for a player that counts no matter what event in 2005 it is from - but still it all comes down to how many events the team in question have played or what division they are in!

IF Madrid is just the teams 4th event, then there is no prob - BUT I would really like to know, again said, how it works for the players? When a roster is locked, does it then also concern the players on this roster as of the time it is locked - or can any player on a locked roster join another team, whos roster has not yet been locked due to division OR number of played events this year?

And what about if you change your team's name? Just add "wink, wink" to the end of it and there you have a new team, that hasn't played any MS before. You can then pick any player you want from your category and lower, right?

Of course, if you're playing for the points, this makes little sense but then again, if you're playing for the points you should have had your roster locked for the season, since this is not a new rule (it was in the first incarnation of this season's rulebook).

Here is the answer to my question:

Joern

What you give as example sounds logic to me because you are talking about a rooster that did not suffered any change.
So I will try to make my question more clear

My question is :
A player that have played 2 or 3 legs (not 4) with TEAM A can play with TEAM B at Madrid ?

The mayor confusion bellong by the fact that the rules talk about
'rosters' and 'teams' but not 'indibudals' ot 'players'.
As per the current rules (5.02
http://www.millennium-series.com/images/pdf/rules_5-2.pdf)

Quote of the rules

" 3.07 After a team's 4th Millennium Series event the roster of
Championsleague, Div.1 and Div 2 teams are fixed as they are at the beginning of the 4th event and cannot be changed for future events in that season."

Which for me indicates that:

- if a player didn't played 4 Millennium events

OR

- if the team tha will host those players didn't played 4 Millennium
events.

the rule 3.07 is NOT APLICABLE....

Can you please comment and tell me if what i understood is right?

Thank you

----

Dear Claudio,
Yes you are right.

Any player (who is not fixed on one CCup roster) will be able to play with Team B IF Madrid is not TEAM B's fifth event. So the answer to your question depends only on the fact if the roster of Team B is locked, which will be the case IF Madrid is their FIFTH event.

Okay?

best regards,
joern

I am sooo glad there are some people who dwell on this earth who like dealing with things like this, I preferred just playing the game rather than disecting it, bejeeeezus, if I had to deal with all this sorta cr@p I would blown me frikkin brains out.

Thank heaven for the Brockdorf family, they truly are a God send :)

Hey now..... I actually think my question had some sense in it - but okay, female points of view may be a bit too confussing to the male part of the population - OR are we just really THAT difficult to understand?! ;)

I personally think this rule needs some "clearification" - the rulebook states nothing specifically on the player being locked, but only the roster in particular - off course no new players are to be added after a teams 4th event, BUT could a player "leave" this roster?

Let me give another example: At Campaign Oliver Lang guested with Bullets, who´s now played their 4th MS event this year (so their roster is locked) - what if Dynasty wanted to play in Madrid, would Lang then be excluded from the team at this event since he´s locked on Bullets roster, OR is the individual player NOT locked?

Juuup - I´ll keep on asking till I get my answer - it´s human (female?) nature! :D

Whooooaaa Ms Brockdorff it was merely an observation not a criticism and the last thing I need is another Brockdorff to contend with, I got enough on my plate going at it with your brother on occasion let alone a female version in tow :)

Peace to All !
