OK, on the weekend, i had some problems with the Reg on my Matrix creeping. At one point i chronoed it after letting it sit for 10 minutes, and it shot 420! I could clear it with a few shots and it'd be fine for a minute, but then creap up again. It smashed paint and was generally a pain in the @ss, and no mater what i did it kept creeping.
So i took it home and rebuilt it last night, and thankfully the creeping has stopped.
However, in my reg i found CHUNKs of dirt! I'm not talking about little flakes, but actual chunks!
Now i'm putting breathing quality air into our dive tanks at practice, and HPAC have staked their reputation on clean air. We all know that the air at the Millennium Series is dirty, and we know that diving about in the dirt is going to cause some problems is you don't have a fill nipple cover. But somewhere along the line i got CHUNKS of dirt in my air supply!
I guess what i'm getting at, is that it's really important to protect the cleanliness of your air supply. It's also important to learn how to rebuild a regulator, (it's really easy, and you can find manuals on line for any reg), because dirt in the reg causes guns to creep.
I guess it's like the guy says 'keep your powder dry' but instead it's 'keep your air supply clean '
