We interviewed him today, and it looks like a couple of millennium events will be involved too. Think this is good for the sport or do you think he's just going to end up dipping into the same pond as everyone else and just diluting the pball scene?

He didn't mention Dynasty going over to Timmies, but he did say he was going to take another look at his sponsor deals for next year.

I don't think it'll dilute things much.
If Millennium and NPPL get involved, it would still probably mean that we'd have two seperate Am bases, one in the US, one in Europe, for the simple reason that mst Am teams do not have the funding to fly all over the world. It would make the Pro scene more interesting, because if the Mill standings also count towards the NPPL standings, it would be a bigger incentive for US Pro teams to travel to Europe. Which means we'll see more of them, and that can only up the level for European Pro teams.

Just the way I see it.

Personally, I would love to have choices. It then forces each league to do a better job in order to keep the players, which only benefits us all. If it is going to happen, and it is going to be a 7 man league, Chuck should make it known as soon as possible, so that all of the teams that imploded at Cup know whether to re-build as a 10 or 7.

If Chuck goes to 7-man...

PSP will have to as well to compete, just a lot easier to field 7-man teams giving the 7-man league an edge.

I wonder how long before someone comes banging on my door to move college up to 7-man for 'consistency'?

I would hate to see 10-player go just like I hated to see those big woods-fields go. But such is the cost of progress. It would be kinda convenient to see a really universal format (allowing, of course, differences between standard and X-ball tourneys).

It would really be great to get the future moving. I can imagine that all the potential changes and discussions about what decisions to make are holding up any release of schedules for the various big leagues.

I wish we could find out. I need to start planning 2003!

NPPL= 7 man ?

My question is, what are the field size standards for 7 man?

I played the IAO this year and the fields appeared to be normal 5man size.

You Europeans seem to have it pretty well down pat, so what are the dimensions?
