Well I have been researching for about a month now on which gun to buy. And i've narrowed it down to 4 choices. ANS Gen-X3, Kapp, Black Magic Autocockers, or Buy a stock 2002 and upgrade it myself. The problem is I have no idea whether there are any real differences in the guns excet for their looks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, price range! How much are you looking to spend on your gun? This will help us to give you an answer.

I have never really been a fan of the ANS guns or add on's. I would recomend, depending on how much you want to spend, buying the eclipse cocker.

Exlipse Cocker the only choice

Guys the eclipse cocker, particularly with a blade trigger frame is without doubt one of the best cockers out there.

For attention to detail, build quality and perfomance in knocks spots off most other custom cockers.

I have owned one of the Blade cockers since July last year and it is the most accurate gun I have ever fired.

Well those three guns are really at the top of my price range. I want to get the best cocker I can, however I want to try and stay under $700.00.

hmmmmm id say go with kapp but thats just me... i like there clasic autococker lava design.... saving up for that but might change my mind in the mean time.... look around im new so maby what id prefer is different to what some one else would prefer to like heavy gun versus light, prices versus looks and such alot of people tell me that the kapp autococker is heavy...... well the gun i have now is too and i play fine with it so does that mean a heavy autococker will effect me? eh the choice is yours but try checking out action village for guns here try this link right here there guns page http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/paintball-guns.html they got lots of guns from alot of different manufacturers maby this will help?
you could probably stay under $700 for any of the kapp autocockers except the flame ones but yous still need to buy a barrel and perhaps a bottomline adapter after tax and shiping the autococker no barrel or bottom line will cost like $720 i think...

If thats your price range I would definatly recomend either buying a stock cocker and getting a trigger job done right away and then upgrade over time (I used a near stock mini-cocker for about 8 years to great effect) or finding a used custom cocker that you think looks pretty and not worry about the componits that much, and then over time you can add all of the other "stuff" later on.

Several people at my field own GenX3 Cockers at the present moment, and a handful have Kapps, and I've shot both and must say that the GenX's are not only better looking, but have better triggers on them and have fewer leaks among those I have personally shot. The GenX reg is a unireg patterned reg that is easy to work on and is quite reliable over the long haul...having had a Mag earlier it's easy for me to work on in the event of problems, and pretty much everyone around you is going to know how to do them as well.

An alternative is to buy a used Cocker that is partially built up to what you want and add onto it what is missing from your wish list. Examples of such are quite abundant and can usually be found in the neighborhood for $400-500. Hang around local tourneys and I'm pretty sure you can pick one up. Look for deals at local fields too. My personal Cocker runs a Jackhammer pneumatics reg, STO ram, Shocktech bomb, RAT 3:16 valve, Pure Energy vert reg, Benchmark frame, Shocktech superfly bolt, and 14" DYE Ultralite.

Hope this helps!
