Cheating Question

I tried to make a point in another thread which
probably got overlooked in the scrum between 3-4
"writers" trying to prove thier pen is bigger, the
original subject was cheating in our game. Thier
contention appears to be about who should expose
the guilty. First paintball is rife with cheats,
thats why rules were introduced, the game became ruled and the rules have become the game. When
we played in the woods the cheating was not so
obvious but now we play on Supair and Hyperball
fields in front of everyone and we are hopeing
to reach an even broader audience through video
and television coverage. Now we have to ask ourselves what will be done about it? Do we use
any and all means to eradicate it or do we accept
and embrace it? We could become as notorious as
WWF wrestling??? Don't like that? Neither do I.
How about more and harsher penalties, OR OR we
coulddo what R.L. appear to be doing. The choice
is up to each of us individually, the result will be decided by the majority.

cheat is a very very long lasted subject since paintball ever stepped up to concept fields, since it was easier and the possibility of getting caught was less in woods....

in every sport there is cheating and there are some penalties to prevent them and so in our sport it is the same thing....

if you get caught, you will pay the price where you have a chance to get away with it but you cannot always be lucky!!!!

I and as well as my teammates are concerned, it is an awful shame to be pinned as cheaters we would not even take the risks to cheat anyway!!!!

To sum up, the best way to reduce (repeat, reduce not stop) cheating is strict rules applied to every team and every guy along with the auto control as I have told above....

and all comes down to this:

by the end of the day when you are going to sleep, your concience will remind you that you have cheated yourself and that is it!!!

PS: The Rooster, I think our captain already contacted you about playing in Turkey, when are you coming to Istanbul then??

Scare the crap out of them!!!

At foxwood Skirmish we have a no cheaters policy If you are caught cheating. The game is awarded to the opposing team, you are then put on the range and the opposition all get a chance to shoot at you for wasting their paint. Then your own team then get the chance to fire at you for losing the game for them.
Hence we have no wipers

That sounds like an incredibly unsafe and potentially libelous policy to me.

Punters always push the rules but you just have to make them feel silly about it after the game if you catch them ... sheating on a punter day is just damn sad. I always found that 30 people viciously insulting any cheating punters did the trick.
