Well, the powerfeed blocks your line of sight a good bit, too. With the vertical feed, you just aim down the side. You can't use the "sight rail" ever, since both feed types block the view through it. I'd say to get the vertical feed model, and learn to aim along the side, instead of the top. You might want to try both before you buy, though, since a new body if about $70!

There is no point to having a vertical feed on a blow back gun. With every shot, the air released will bounce the balls higher up into the feed tube. At high rates of fire, this can cause skipped shots, and chops. Leave the vert feed to the higher end guns, and get a power feed, it acctualy will help you feed paint.

However, the powerfeed blocks your sight line except on the right side of the gun, which I fing annoying, being left-handed. I have to bring the gun in front of my face to aim.

...yeah....

Is aiming down the side of a gun that has vertical feed a "lot" harder or just a "little" bit harder?

I've sold a bunch of the vert feed pirahnas. I've never seen any problems with blow back on the balls. There is a hole drilled to let the air go out incase that should happen. You have enough balls stacked on top of each other that there isn't any bobble in the feed. As for buying one or the other, If you like to switch hands I would recommend getting the vert feed so that when you switch hands you dont lead out of your bunker with your hopper sticking out. Besides that they perform exactly the same.

To change from a power feed to vert you would have to buy a new body man.

Listen fella's, there's no reason to put your gun on the side of your head so you can see where your balls are going, it's weird getting used to, and it makes you into a nice sloppy newbie lookin' target. This works for both power-feed and center, just try lining up the back of your gun with your nose, and adjust it accordingly. Surely we all shoot with both eyes open, you'll be looking AROUND the gun, basically, and tracing your shots that way, not only that, you'll be a pretty dang tight profile. Just try it first, then yell at me.;)
