Over 35’s Charity Paintball Tournament

Firstly a big thank you to all involved in the event:

Nick and Sally for the use of the paintball site, Ian and all the marshals for setting up the fields and clearing up after we had gone and off course the catering staff for excellent food.

Draxxus Paintball, Team Spirit, Atmosphere and Phoenix paintball for supplying paint for teams to purchase for charity. Phoenix and Just Paintball for supplying auction prizes. Nexus for the loan of the sup’air ball field and H-pac for supplying the first class air service. Rochdale trophy centre for sponsoring the trophies for the event. P8ntballer forum and PBUK for helping publicising the event.

A big thank you to the tournament marshals who all donated their wages to charity and finally the players who played hard but fair and created a superb atmosphere in the safe area. Thank you to the Macmillan charity for supplying T shirts for the marshals.

The week before the tournament the Series 2003 held a presentation evening and at the event we held a charity raffle and auction. I would like to thank Phoenix Paintball, Planet Eclipse, Just Paintball, Atmosphere paintball, all the players who donated shirts and other items for the auction plus Tracy Paint who donated prizes and organised the raffle.

I am sure I have forgotten someone so if I have I apologise in advance.

The bottom line:

This is what you all want to know – What did we raise for the Macmillan nurses?

Raffle at the presentation evening £534.25
Charity paintball tournament £2183.80

Total to date £2718.05

I am awaiting payment from three players who bid and collected shirts at the auction who have not yet sent their payments. I would estimate £200 to be paid – if the players do not pay in 7 days then I will publish their names on p8ntballer so send your cheque today.

Big Ian kindly had his golden locks shaved off for charity and this should raise a further amount of cash. Ian will post the amount at a later date.

In answer to a question from one of the players at the event – We donated 100% of the game fees to the charity.

I would estimate the total amount donated will be in the region of £3300/3400

Again a big thank you to all involved

Nick and Steve

PS Do we do it again next year????
;) ;)

Well done to nick and steve
a very nice amount to a v good cause.
I went to the so called charity tourney at wrexham and they raised of the players a nice amount but thats where the "charity" ended.
I have been told from a good source that no contribution was made from the midland masters even though we was told they would:mad:

Pete's Marauders 660
Ruddy Well Hung 635
Blitz Squad 590
Toyes r Us 565
Ramp Access 285
The Cream 230
Rob's Rovers 210

Sorry Golden Oldies (team 5) I have missed you score from my sheet, if you know waht it is please let me know

Thanks

Dog Seven won first place after an unusual play off match. Two players from each team, started in the middle with their markers in the bases. On the call "game on" they had to run, pick up their markers and fire. Funny is an understatement as they ran into one another when the game started.:D :D

Would like to know who this 'good source' is- our credibility is second to none.

I will check up on this too as I'm not having our name made to look bad like this.
