Charity Event in memory of Jay Ford

So..... I'm trying to organise a race2 tournament at Reading in memory of Jay Ford with the proceeds (minus some running costs) going to Cancer Research UK. I've been trying to arrange this for some time now and it's got to the point where I have to know whether it's viable- I need to know from teams whether they'd be interested in playing. If you are then please message me as soon as possible so I can go ahead and start booking things up. The provisional date is Sunday 28th July and like I said, it's at Reading. There's already been some interest from people like Dye who I believe are willing to donate some prizes for a raffle. I expect there'll be a BBQ the night before too. Get back to me ASAP! It's a great idea Dicky but where in reading ?? Who is going to supply the fields and Air..

Would you not be best off contacting an established site with your idea ..

It would be at the venue where Syd used to hold the NSPL events. I've got the field etc covered. Just need the teams.

How much is entry?

It BYO paint?

Is the format straight 5-man or X-ball?

Mixed divisions? (that is, a mix of pro & am teams in each division?)

Race to 2 format, BYO paint, yeah mixed divisions. Entry approx 200 a team with the idea to cover the costs of the event then donate the rest to charity with people I know being cajoled into donating their organising/marshaling duties for free.

To be honest, I've had very little in terms of interest from teams so with the best will in the world, if I can't get the teams then I won't go ahead as I'll only lose a load of money!
