Won't this promote more sandbagging? Now they're doing it for the glory, next year they will do it for the glory and the money.

Haven't seen any countermeasures on the Millennium Series email, are they being thought and put into practice?

I'd imagine that the prizes would be more if you won a higher division. And lets face it, we aren't talking about heaps of money here. I dont think anyone wants to sandbag, it hurts your credibility.

I think that the total ammont of cash is irrelevant, but if it was to cover a teams cost for the event then why play in Div3 if you know you can win Div 4 and have played for free.

OK prob not that much cash for the lower divsions but the idea and principle still stand.
Look at campaign this year a few teams were not playing where they should have and as such got a better place than normal for the div they should have played.

I like it

That's not a bad idea.
I know they're going divisional this year anyhow, so why not introduce a system of relegation?

Nick that is a great idea.

In the UK this year the PA League is going to do just that, but I think it will be a grate step foward for MS and Euro and world Pball
as is the CPL

Not here in the States. It seems sandbagging is the only way to go for a lot of teams  :D

Nick -

I like your idea of forced promotion. The only concern I'd have is how the division size might affect teams that only play two or three events. You may end up with real mismatches in the lowest division - some high level teams playing against true rookies, just because they don't play many events per year. You might be forcing teams to sandbag. :p

I'd rather see teams seed themselves, then force teams to move up as they win.
