Paintball is my BITCH!!!
Just sat in my shop wondering out loud about stuff when a question came to mind. What kind of jobs do people in paintball land do? I'm a hairdresser by trade (jokes to the email attached!) and rec/tourny player who just enjoys slinging some paint.
Surely everyone in paintball can't run a site?

So, come on, tell us ya jobs.:D

The rest of my mob include a postal worker (not a good job for somebody who owns guns!), a machine operator, laborer/builder, delivery driver, office manager, bank clerk, motorcycle mechanic and an old guy who spends a lot of time down sewers but isn't a sewage worker - wierd!

The latter has a wonderful story about a guy visiting a sewage treatment plant who parked his car - windows open - next to a pipe just as it burst, spraying the inisde of the car and him with liquid... err, stuff! ;) :D

need to get hold of Tank for an exit
Student/Layabout whichever I feel more like.

Next year (argh - graduation approaches!) I'll be stuck in some lame programming/network support job.

Is it just me, or are the majority of (non paintball industry) tourney ballers in the UK involved in IT jobs? Is paintball the sport of geeks? :D

Trust me, Flash, once you start working in IT, you're going to want to shoot a lot of people! Life suxx0r (sorry, geek mode again :) ) & so I like to transfer my suffering onto others. :D

I don't think of it as living, it's more a case of being an animate water-filled bag of pain receptors hurtling towards oblivion.

Flash is right, we've talked about this on the boards before & paintball does seem to have a very high proportion of IT people playing. ISTR we came to the conclusion that it was down to a mixture of a) reaction to a deskbound indoor job, b) getting rid of the frustration of dealing with users/customers, & c) disposable income tending to be a bit higher.

Oh, and insanity being a requirement for the IT industry!:D
