Carbon Fibre Barrel - Fluffy Squeegie?

There seems to be an endless debate on the internet about whether you can use a fluffy squeegie with carbon fibre barrels. Some say the threads will catch in the porting of the barrel, others say that with recently made barrels you have no problem.

The TechPB chap says you are fine putting a squeegie through a new Stiffi CF barrel, but the leaflet with my Switch kit says it will void the warranty.

Any thoughts? Are Stiffi just being extra careful, are they giving out old leaflets, or will that squeegie really kill my barrel?

Never seen or heard of a CF barrel being damaged internally by the use of a fluffy or squeegie, seen some damaged in rough play though!

I think you risk more by planting it when a dive goes wrong than you do ripping the guts out cleaning it.

Never an issue with mine I went through the whole "must not use a fluffy on it" for a few weeks then forgot about it and used it happily for 2 years and it never skipped a beat......until I stood on it

lol that made me laugh yea i used it on my stiffi barrel and have had no probs with it.

(dont worry evans it wasnt the one i sold you, that was used like 5 times and neva had a break )
