I have been playing for four months, I have a Java 2 'n 1 not tricked out except for a trigger mod I made. I want to know if I should stay and upgrade my current gun or get a new one. I have $300.
Can you help me out?

For the love of god get a new one. If you spent $300 on that hunk o junk (no offense, but it's a fairly low end gun), you'd be puttin a Chevy Big Block into a Pinto. For that much, you could get a Shutter and trick it out a fair amount (that's what I did; dont let anyone tell you the Shutter is crap

autokor is your best bet i wouldnt spend time on a Java 2 'n 1 or a shutter . A shutter is just a basic spyder with upgrade included whereas and autococker or automag is a great gun .
If you want to spend that money on a marker then shoot for the cocker. I would get the cocker over the shutter (no offense to any players with shutters). The cocker is better and has trillions of parts available if you wish to upgrade down the road.
Well, I only spent $100 on the Java 2 'n 1 and I think I can sell it for $90 to a friend. Thanks for all the advice. Next question, which autococker? I am leaning on the 2001.
All cockers are good, even the older ones. But you do want to look into the 2001 unless you find a sweet deal on an older version.
COCKER'S
Cocker's are a wicked gun, PLEASE don't get a Shutter, you'll regret it so much!! With Autocockers you pay for what you get, Like Evolution are more expensive but you will feel the diffrence, upgrade it to a blade trigger, cos single triggers suck. Best thing is to go to a tourny, as a spectator, and there is bound to be someone who has a cocker for sale or know's someone who is selling theirs.

If all you are doing is playin with the neighborhood kids then a shutter will be fine. But still the cockers are so much better then some of the most expensive markers. I say go for a cocker you wont regret it.
Thanks for all the help, I am looking into tournys but are there any in New Hampshire USA. I play with my brother, my neighbors, and we have like 12 kids in our town playing paintball.
