Can i use bottles from USA in UK

hi guys

i hered a rumor that if i bought a paintball Air Tank from USA, i cannot use or get it tested in the UK

does anyone know if this is true as im thinking of buying on from the US as thay are cheeper even with shipping

To be used in the UK they need to be tested in the uk and if they pass the test then it should be fine. Best people to ask are HPAC.

Not quite, DOT ( US ) bottles can not be retested to PI standard. So the simple answer is NO DO NOT BUY A US BOTTLE. there are enough bottle for sale here in the classifieds

will hpac or others test DOT bottles so that they are then Pi rated? just out of interest because one of my mates made the daft mistake of buying a ninja bottle from the US, and is now paying mega bucks (ontop of the money spent getting it here) to get it changed for a guerilla bottle.
