Its the weekend so i hope this is allowed, and if in the wrong section mods please move.

To any Canon users out there i am in need of help.
I currently own a Canon EOS 300D. This obviously being a digital SLR.
I recently purchased a Sigma zoom lens from ebay for my paintball photography thinking that it would fit my camera body but i was very wrong.
The previous owner said they used the lens on a Canon T90, this being a film camera.

So what i am wondering is, is there a possibility that an adaptor can be brought to fit to the end of a 35mm lens so that it can be used on a digital body?

Thanks in advance for and help and advice given.

yes you can buy adaptors that will make 35mm lense's fit D-slr's, it will make the lense slightly longer on a D SLR, best thing you can do is go into jessops, as they stock most adaptors..(its about the only thing you should go into jessops for) make sure you take your lense are camera

usally there only a couple of quid. and it may turn out that you cant get one for the lense/camera, i know a couple of my classmate had issues with adaptors and lense's, especailly with the 350d

I could get some images of the connection end if it will help at all?
I wont know what it is :) I was just looking at a Canon 350D and my girlfriend has an old Canon T70 and all the lenses and asked if the lenses would work with an adapter. I was told that they wouldn't, as the T70 lenses weren't 'EF' and the DSLR's needed the information sent back to them from the lens.

I think basically, if it's a lens that has a built in auto-focus etc then you can definitely use it with an adapter. But if it's a manual only lens it wont work.

Not 100% on that though.. Does the lens have a code next to the exact lens? (like EF-S 10-22mm)

It has autofocus so that seems like a good start. as for a marking, it says 'Sigma UC Zoom 70-210'

So i have no idea :p
