right guys sussex is on the list for uni next year, i believe im right in saying they diont have a uni team there, if any one lives around the area what paintball sites are around that area and (to the student union team starter people) how hard is it to start a society.

Cheers for any info given

it's not too hard to start a society...just get a few peeeps who are interested in shooting people, if they're into paintball it's a bonus! Then arrange a couple of trips, get people who attend the trips to join, before you know it you'll have tons of people as unwilling members! Talk nicely to your union, explain the copious amounts of funding you need in a good way and you may even get some free cash....which can then be spent on more beer! wahaay! Like it was said, talk to Steve at Brum, he's holy grail of student paintball knowledge, just book a couple hour sesh to chat with him on the phone ;) :p

Hi mate, at brighton uni at the mo, theres a local woodland site called demolition paintball that do walkons, but no sup air, we usually go to daves site in dartford, only about 40mins by car.
It should be pretty easy to start a society, your best bet is to get in there early and promote it at the freshers fair, should get a good response, i know it did here (although unfortunately the club never got off the ground) but if you can be bothered to put the effort in that won't happen

Your welcome just make sure the shelves are stacked correct when you graduate ;)
Just think where would you be without nurses, doctors, dentists all of those were university students or would you rather some old hag with a handfull of leaches came round to patch you up?

As mentioned above, you'd be surprised just how accomodating unions will try to be as far as funding goes. Aberdeeen Uni Piantball Soc. has only been up about 18 months and we've been able to invest in about 5000 reballs and reasonable sup air set up for indoor training from the financial support our unions given us. So the moral of the story is, ask and you will receive...maybe ;) Unions will also try and make it easy for you to set up a society; afterall the more societies available, the better it will look for people looking to apply there.

Whatever happens though, no harm in asking anyway! :)

Good luck!
