Make sure you get the turbo switched off as it basically makes the thing go into full auto mode if you shoot above 4bps or so.

Would pay 100-140 depending on condition and if it comes with barrels etc etc.

If it's for your woman I'd be wary, these things are bricks. I've had one in the past and a friend of mine has one at the moment, with a 68cu bottle and 12 inch boomie on it the thing weighs as much as a small car. It's also as tall as a tall thing.
They are also a pain in the arse to hold if they don't have either a vert max flo or a gadget grip.
Also, as far as I know the 4x4 turbos don't have an on/off switch so you'll have to remember to take the fecking custom battery (can get them from Just, or make yourself a 9v converter) out at the end of the day, lest it drain.
They are also gas hogs.
Oh and don't use anything but Dow 33 (or any generic molykote grease) to lube them.

All this being said they are a fine backup marker, nice and accurate, fairly quick, good balance and will last as long as any other marker if you take care of them and due to their age you can pick them up cheap as chips.

Hope this helped.

that certainly has helped, when you say gas hog how many shots to a 1.1l we talking? and was the suggested price with or without air?

I used a 4x4 Shocker for years...

And she was a beauty. I used to run her with smart parts barrels, revi hopper, powerfeed with air assist on a 1.9 bottle through smart parts max flo air system. It was a heavy gun, but i didn't notice it when playing, only when carrying it about... :D

On the plus side, it is soooo acurate. Shot a fly in the ringpiece at 50 feet once. And fast enough to compete at every level. I used mine in Millenium Series all over the show.

Its weight denotes quality. It never breaks down. Ever. And if you have to you can use it to prop up your house.

It does not chop balls. Ever.

I never had problems with gas consumption, and i used to shoot 1500 shots in a game. (that was a 1.9 though)

They are seriously undervalued and you can pick one up for absolute peanuts. Everybody should own one at least once in their life.

Phew! All worn out!

:D

Can't say I loved mine as much as you loved yours.

1500 shots from a 1.9 is excellent, in my experience you'll be lucky if you get 500 from a 1.1 fill.

The suggested price was with the max flo but without an air bottle. Keep in mind the max flos are 3k PSI.
I also don't consider them fast enough to compete at every level, the stock trigger is sloppy (both single and double) and I could only squeeze out about 7bps with mine, may have been my trigger but that's my opinion.
For short 10 minute games the weight isn't too much of an issue but I see in your sig that you're a recballer, try playing a 2 hour scenario game with one and you won't be able to hold your arms by the end.

As tony says, they are nice an accurate (but then again what isn't with a good paint match) and rarely chop/break balls due to the low pressure (used to run mine at 160 psi).
If you can pick one up for the 100-140 region then you'd have yourself a good deal.
