Buying from the States

Im looking to get my new marka from the states if i cant find nything i fancy in the classified sections.

As such im wondering if nyone who has brought a marker from the states could fill me in on what i should expect.

ie imports laws on markers
import tax to her majeties customs and excise etc

nything of use. im not 100% sure on the procedures that i would have to go through.

choose retailer
choose marker =currrency divide by uk exchange rate=uk equivilent price then +shipping/delivery charge+import duty+vat=GRAND COST OF IMPORTING WHICH IS EASY TO DO

FORMULAE IS COST OF MARKER +SHIPPING+VAT@17.5%+5/7%IMPORT DUTY OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

my empire timmy was in february £850approx inc shipping +£180 import and vat paid in total including bank transfers£1080 from that nice bloke SEAN @www.canadianpaintball.com ordered and in my hands within 7DAYS

Not forgetting

One other addition will be the clearance fee Royal mail charge for paying the customs.
Correct order: Cost+shipping+Duty (5-20%)+Clearance fee (normally about 10% of value) +Vat (17.5%). Watch the duty though, I was charged nearly 20% on a marker a little while back!

dont buy air bottles from the states as they are a different test certtificate (DOT)

It's not a matter of patience Neill, just this subject has been extensively detailed in the past with examples by myself and others.

Just don't see the point of someone having to re-iterate the point over and over every 2-3 months when all the info is already here, all the chap has to do is click search...

cheers for you input guys, and i searched as you said ben,

found tons of usefull info
