Normally it is the LP 1.8k disk that pops.
A common cause would be dirt inside the reg (dirt trapped between the seals/oring/piston seat). Can also be the either of the seal/oring/piston seat has worn, or even a dry oring.
With the LP 1.8k disks. When replacing them, becareful not to weaken them (ie. bend ) as they are very thin. And try to use the disks from the same manufacturer.
When replacing, make sure you place the correct disk in the correct hole, 1.8k/7.5k.
