i have a pv2000 valve and the birst disk finally gave way the other week so i called smart parts for a replacement, they sent it with the threaded nut to lock it in place, all is fine until now, then when i and puting it in it gets a little tight, so i think 'maybe it is slightly not sitting right' so i unscrew it and try again, before i know i have metal shards on my lap due to the thread on the valve going and on the nut busting. damn, now i need to buy a new valve costing almost £40.
after i had a thought - maybe smart parts sent me a nut for their smart valve, it is very similar to the pv2000.
are the nuts the same or different?
if they are the same then the thread was wrong and ****ed my valve, which was a nice valve it worked all the time
and will cost me nearly £40 to replace - which is a lot of the students stable diet (beer)
