Burst disk

I just had my co2 bottle filled up at my local store and then the bottle just started making a noise and th eco2 filled out was this because i burst a disk in the bottle and was this cause the bottle was over filled?

Burst disk.

The burst disk is there for safety and goes (bursts) when the pressure in the bottle reaches an unsafe level. It doesn`t necessarily mean the bottle was over filled. If a full bottle of co2 is subject to heat the co2 will expand causing the burst disk to go. This is why you must keep the co2 bottles out of the sun.

thanks for the help i know it didnt over heat cos it was cold where it was stored i make sure of that.
