With few, if any funding avaliable of course :)

We've recently got the go-ahead to use a field at a friend's farm for paintballing. The plan is to erect a speedball field for us to practice on, mainly to save money and because it's nearby. While we're already looking into such things such as extra air and the like, right now we need some ideas about what to use for bunkers, etc.

My plan is to raid the trash heaps of local warehouses and use wooden pallets and boards, then to try to find some metal rod we can use to pound them solid into the ground. Other ideas were to collect logs and woodpiles, or take the extra plywood from construction sites (confirmed as extra, of course) to use.

None of these should be permenant; we'll eventually have to take everything down and dont want that to be a hastle. And clever idea is appreciated, especially if you have done this before. Once again, we've got little to no funds to spare, but plenty of manpower.

As Revoss said, hay/straw bales are great. Also try oil drums - at just over 3 feet high on their ends & 2 feet high on their sides they are a good size & you can put 2 or 3 side by side or even stack them up high.
Also old car & lorry tyres - very versatile!

Just remember the safety aspects, making sure the area is netted or there's absolutely no chance anyone could wander past when you're playing.

I suggest you steer clear of lorry tyres or any tyres that you can't transport yourself. You'll get them for free but when it comes to get rid of them you'll be charged around £50 per tyre and probably transport costs to dispose of them, as they can only be disposed of in certain ways.
Have played on a site where all the barricades where green nettiing 2/3x thick. You could see all the players and it gave the game a really good edge. made for some strange muggings tho people runing round and roung barricades!
