BT 45° Offset Picatinney Rail on SP-1

In spite of initial intention to buy something else got an SP-1. So far so good except it needs an offset rail to be able to use any kind of sighting device.

Do any of you know if I can mount the BT 45° Offset Picatinney Rail on this marker? What I can see from the sellers is that it has been designed for the a couple tippmanns and a BT but dont see any reason I should not be able to use it on an SP-1. Any experience would be appreciated.

The simple solution is not to use a sight, Paintball markers are inherently inaccurate and sighting down the barrel will do you fine.

im with kev on this one, just don't bother, it will just get in the way.

your talking about looks over functionality, if that's what you want then i cant help xD

Not really about the looks.

I don't sight over the barrel. Got a natural instinct and can shoot quite quickly and accurately without aiming at all but the first shot is usually a bit of the mark. A bit more then the inherent paintball inaccuracy would dictate.

I like stalking so should have plenty of time for that first shot and am thinking that it would help to improve the accuracy of that first shot. Then my very conservative attitude with paint use would really express itself. One shot kill instead of 2-3 shots.

It should work. Really all picatinny equipment is interchangable. You could always check by measuring the angles and lengths etc. but I'd recommend going to a shop with your SP-1 and seeing it it fits there.

The SP-1 and BT use military 1913 standard rails, they will fit.

The general theory is that 1913 standard is exact.

Most weaver rail accessories should fit 1913/Piccatiny rails...
1913/Piccatiny rail accessories probably WON'T fit Weaver rails.

All Weaver rails are is just a non-exact Piccatiny rail. But they're harder and harder to come by now-a-days.
