BT 4 air efficiency

I bought a brand new BT 4 a few weeks ago, and haven't used it properly yet. I did put 100 balls through it in the garden, and noticed that the pressure in my air bottle dropped from 3000psi(ish) to 2000psi. The bottle I have is a 0.8L 3000psi unbranded job from justpaintball, hooked up to my marker on a remote line. I was just wondering if the marker need a 'running in' period where is loosens up (like a new car engine) before it becomes a bit more air efficient....?

Anyone had a similar experience?

Cheers.

Hi

Alas these markers are not the most air efficient markers out there.

A few guys on site use variants and they do not get more than 3-400 shots from a 3000 psi 0.8 tank.

I could not tell you the upgrade route for the marker, you would be better asking on ukscenario or walkonzone.

They clearest solution would be to purchase a 1.1ltr 4500 psi bottle. You wouldn't need to change your set up further and you would get more shots per fill.

I would point out that not all rec sites will provide 4500 psi fills and if they do they often require you to be a UKPSF member.

K4084 is right, these guns are gas guzzlers, i used to use mine on CO2, and had terrible problems with shooting alot of paint as the gun would freeze.

You could try polishing the internals to see if that helps with efficeny, but other than that there is no upgrades that you can do,(that im aware of) that will help with this problem.
