Hi I picked up a used PMR in great shape recently, and have only just realised that the eyes do not work correctly. When switched on the LED always shows green, even when theres no ball in the chamber, once the trigger is pulled its starts flashing green. So I cleaned the eyes and tried again and the same problem occurs. Next i tried a new battery which also made no difference, worried that it was flat tried another to be on the safe side and the battery harness goes ping! lol I think this had happened to the previous owner as it looks as though they had soldered or simply tried to push the cables back in.... I dont want to send it back to the previous owner as I got a pretty good deal so was wondering if there any kind souls out there that could help me out with the possible 'eye' problem or point me in the direction of someone that could fix it? Sorry but I am pretty nooby :)

cheers for any info,
Paul

When you pull the trigger it is recognising that there is no airflow....this is why it flashes green.

Take off the detents from each side and give each eye a clean making sure there is no paint or grit on them...also make sure the bolt isnt covering them making the board think there is a ball in the breach.

What has he actually done with the wires and is it a stock frame or ul frame?

its the eye wire that should affect anything the other wires you can see are for the solenoid/microswitch(trigger) and battery harness.

Hi the eyes have been fully cleaned, the frame is stock, sorry should have said but the LED was solid green when air'd. The eye wire does not look pinched or broken although I have not taken the gun to pieces. Cannot really do too much more as I need to find a new battery harness.

thanks for your help,
Paul.

Do you have the manual...i cant remember but if it was flashing green it has different options...one is no air supply. other is bloked eyes. Give ash chaplen a call tomorrow...you can find his number on the dye website and he will be able to help you out and then you can sort a battery harness out at the same time.
