Yeah this un-suprising story has domintated British media today.

Surely we are also giving them a fat amount of £££ in Tax? I would like to see how they try and stop binge drinking though, are they going to give every UK citisen an Alcohol ID card?

Yey us brits come first at something at last. Right bearing in mind we are allowed 10 units a week [5 pints ewwww] I'm now not allowed to drink until I have paid back the units I owe. Right doing a rough calculation I'm on the wagon until March 13th 2134.

Only 2 pints. I think that's kinda insane to count as a binge.

EDIT: Oops...I didn't notice a binge was twice that. D'oh!

4 pints, what the chuff. over there (uk) you have limited drinking times as it is and now they want to limit what you drink in that time,
over here in sunny switzerland you can pretty much go for 24 hrs, just moving from pub to pub, some pubs just dont shut, when i first arrived here it was a case of ok english drinking, all you can for 4-5 hrs, only problem was i still had 4-5 hrs of the evening left. by golly that was messy, fell asleep on the pavement and was woken by the police, lucky they had more serious things to deal with that morning.

Since 8 pints has qualified a binge all the time possibly they want to bring it down to 4 so they can nick more peeps.
