Does anyone here use any of the clansman radios when they play?
Or maybe fancy getting some kit?
On thescenario scene people use either PMR walkie talkies or licenced radio frequencies.

PMR gives the advantage of communication with others in your faction when using a 'common' frequency. Or you can select a free frequency for you & your mates.

Licenced frequencies give 'secure' comms but are pricey to pay for the licence. You can hire licenced systems for an event

Comms are not used by everyone but can be put to good use.

North v South was won for the South a couple of years back due to the communications in place to put players where required.
e.g. A set of radios was put out to a 'second line command', we would then communicate with our own systems down to others, and up to a command centre with the 'command radios'
Not all was by radio (e.g. also due to the handing out of maps and a direction to key areas to everyone passing through respawn)

The optimum system is the Motorola XTNID - PMR compatible, unlicenced, many features, can be programmed in seconds with software.

Clansman is slightly overkill - airsofters may be interested for the look.
