okay played this weekend.
a few of us seemed to be breaking lots of paint.
various guns from ion to tippmanns.
eyes on, as always. etc etc.

think it was down to the cold weather to be perfectly honest.

anyone got any tips to reduce breakages??
barell was big bore, so no probs there.

cheers in advance.

ps when i was breaking, it was mainly when firing long strings, same as most people.

Yep that is the best advice, after training on sunday we were getting about 5 chops a hopper of paint that had been kept outside all day, and none with paint that had been kept inside.

so KEEP UR BALLS WARM!!

Keeping Piant Warm

Hi,

Have you thought about the Flametek Bag, my mate Mr Skeet is selling these at the moment - See his comments below.
Not expensive if 2 or 3 of you chip in - Just a thought..

Right...I have available, a number of these bags.
Look like a large holdall...with pot pockets on the outside.

The magic, is inside...you plug it into your cars 12V lighter socket...and while enroute to your tourny or whatever, the bag warms your paint to 25 Degrees C ...and...when you unplug it, will keep it warm, for 6 hours.

Holds 6000 paintballs (in bags)...wicked.

Anyone interested, let me know...price will be less than £100 posted, with better rates for buying a few.

For those of you that dont know...cold paint breaks real easy, and this winter...could last 3 months at sub zero temperatures...you would have to be nuts to play in that weather, most of us are, but you'd have to be really nuts, to let your balls freeze!

Our team used a large cooler filled with hot water bottles...worked for us, we had more breaks in our barrel socks:rolleyes: than we did in our barrels.

Shockers and Ions can suffer when it gets cold due to having the oring between the eyes and back of the barrel. If this oring gets cold/frozen, it gets stiffer and will cause the paint to break even before it hits the barrel!
