I saw sat watching "I DARE YOU" on bravo today, and saw their lastest adverts for Mission:paintball and Future Fighting machines.

These two shows play back to back on the channel, and the advert depicts the two, and basically challenges the viewer to tell the difference between the two.

It continues to show 1/2 secound clips of the two shows intertwined all with gun firing noises.

Then at the end it flashes. GUNS , GUNS, GUNS

not very impressed.

Ahhh, It's back to that ol' chestnut "The Paintball image to the non paintball player". The coverage of Bravo's Mission Paintball was very good for the sport, although not all of the viewer content was very interesting, it was a help promoting the sport. The last episode was excellent No camo and no trees at campaign cup. The cameras angles wern't always the best but that's what you get with a sport with no set point of action like football.

But the crappy adverts do NOT help at all, especially linked to future fighting machines. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!!!! It promotes the sport as a war/army type game which is crap. I think paintball should be moved to the Extreme Channel were it would join ist's rightful place with other extreme sports like BMX,Skate boarding and Moto X which is a image that would be good for the sport. At the mo I havn't seen paintball there yet, I've seen it on SkySports (Quite a few years ago) Discovery Channel, but I'm still waiting on the extreme channel were I'd expect it to be!

Keep in mind that these people are not interested in promoting paintball as it truly is, they probably don't know enough about it. What these people are interested in is drawing an audience, and since most people don't know too much about paintball, this is (unfortunately) probably the way to go about it.

That sounds like a pretty catchy advert - but maybe it should be changed to:

TJ FROM PGI MAGAZINE WILL HAVE BEEN SHOT THIS MANY TIMES BY AN ECLIPSE BM2K BY THE TIME YOU'VE READ THIS - Mission Paintball - Bravo TV
