Cheap TV

MT

I know that any publicity is good publicity but was this really the image we want to be giving out. It was real rambo assualt on viet cong village stuff.

I know we should be grateful to Bravo for taking the plunge with paintball but it did come across as cheap TV.

Nevertheless I did watch it and will watch it again because it is so rare to see paintball on TV.

You guys had a great game on the speedball arena. What were the headcams like to play with? What were the two presenters like? and what was their opinion of paintball?

Bravo

We did the Mission Paintball thing too - whilst i wasnt entirely comfortable with the format (personal opinion) it should be taken in the spirit in which it is intended.

Showcasing paintball to the public in an exciting way that they can understand. The sort of scenarios can be seen at most sites and Joe public will want to play this sort of ball.

Missed the show on Sunday - was at the Joymasters

What was it like??

This is the thing mark hit the nail no the head, people keep saying "all this camo" well this is what joe pub knows P/ball as and in the UK this is what we need, Joe pub to get and play more and then we might start getting a big reck seen like state side when this happens people will then see P/Ball is big because all are doing it.

Mark was ok M8, the thing is most things that have been on TV before did have proper face protection (kitKat advert) is one but in this as u well no they did have the kit.

The hut thing was abit close when Banzai got the bird out the hut and she wen't to the ground on her knees nearly into a stress possision, but all i can say is that the banzai guys did play the game and I was glad they did not point there Marker at her when she was on her knees because that would have looked abit to much and people would have got the wrong idea.

Embarrassed??? Hell yes!!

BUT!!!

We did it with the notion that we were going to be helping promote paintball - we were sacrificing our sensibilities for the good of paintball.

The show is not intended to be an enjoyable watch for existing paintballers - PUSH it isnt ok - so stop judging it guys.

If it gets a few hundred or a few thousand extra people involved and clued up about p'ball and they spread the word to thousands more then it was all worthwhile.

Let it rest guys - watch it you want but stop knocking it

Sheesh!!!

embarrassed?

Any opportunity to expose Paintball to a wider audience in my opinion is a good thing. Hell yeah I would have preferred to be playing Sup air instead of “punter ball” but it’s all good air time for the sport and that’s got to be a good thing in the long run. I just hope Bravo get a positive response from the series and maybe next time they might be convinced to film a complete Sup air tournament...

Lets face it the sport needs more people and if this helps then it can only do good, I dont know about you but I get a bit bored of seeing the same tired old faces and they dont come much more tired and old than Mark T's on an overcast Sunday in Sweden :)
