There isn't one ultimate brand of marker. It depends what kind of marker it is. Every brand has its good things and its bad things as well so what one brand may be lacking, another may be great at and vice versa.

Yes, as Jeevus says they all have their points & it very much depends on what you want it for. It's like saying what's the best car - depends on whether you want to race, do off-road or transport the family & all their holiday baggage. You also have to consider what it's worth to you to get the best value for money - no point in spending a fortune on an IR3 custom when all you're going to do is backyard ball, but an ideal & comparatively cheap rec-ball marker isn't likely to be much use in a tourney.

i guess you really gotta go out there and see what you get on with and like the feel of, most markers are pretty customisable nowadays so you can make most things to your liking.
