just a quick 1 how many balls per second could a standard mech do<like a bt4 combat ot tippmann 98 or A5> (if it had a double trigger and a electronic hopper) compard to a standard electro like an ION (same setup).

depends on how fast you can shoot if you will be doing walkons with other punters im not sure if all sites are but apocolips you can only do 10bps no mater what gun and tell me if im wrong i think you can only do 12bps in uk masters(sure i saw a thread like this somwhere) so it dose really mater how fast but im sure it could get to 10bps no probs

i reckon in woodsball its not how fast you can fire its how good your accuracy it is! :D but lots of BPS does help

It depends on the mech really.

You really need a short lightish trigger pull to be able to get high BPS.

With most mechs, even if you could set the activation point really short, once it cycles etc it will have to travel back, a long way on most.

If you file down the sear, it will eventually wear away and become unreliable as well.

The best mechs were/are Automags, which, provided you used decent input pressure, could do 10 plus BPS without bouncing and with really high pressure on RT Mags, 18 to 20+ BPS bouncing. This was before the ULE triggers etc which make shooting a Mag fast, very easy.

Tippmans 98's etc about 6 bps, A5 despite its claim of fastest marker in the world, maybe 10 at a push.

yeah my mate has a tippman 98 and think he gets around 6 bps, but we play woodsball so accuracy is the key really
