Hi all,

Got an 05 ego, with the 1.08 software, wont let me go above 1 15.4 bps cap in any of the modes? What am I doing wrong? Is this the eyes off cap, because if so then how do you cap millenium modes (ramp 1 and ramp 2) eyes on?

Cheers

Russ

No offence but you have asked about 3 or more different ego questions now. Have you considered reading the manual?
http://www.planeteclipse.com/folders/Downloads/Manuals/EgoVol1B.pdf FTW

Basic facts:

1.08 board
Semi 1 Eyes on UNCAPPED
Semi 1 Eyes off CAPPED at the OFF ROF value (stock this is 12bps).

Semi 2 - Capped at 15bps. This is the old CFOA mode, suitable for UK masters 5 man events etc.

The Ramp modes are ALL capped at 15.4bps MAX with eyes on.
With eyes off, the ROF is capped at the OFF ROF value.

The difference between the ramp modes is Kick in BPS, Sustain BPS, and restart. PSP has 1 second restart (think this is Ramp 1, its so long since I used it though) and kicks in at 5bps.

Millenium mode (Ramp 3 i think) kicks in at 7.5BPS, has no restart.

Have indeed read thru the manual, hence the questions (most of the setup on my board is not the same as the manual, leading me to beleive the manual was written for 1.06 and as I have 1.08 there are slight differences - for example I have no "info" menu option, and the manual on page 31 indicates a max rof of 30 bs, which I cannot set on any mode). Dont be so quick to jump to conclusions about the questioner just because you know the answer lovetone ;)

Reason for the question was mostly to see if there was any ramp modes where I could hit over 20bps (my fingers arent fast enough) just to see how my gun performed. I figure the whole point of this forum is to be able to ask these kind of questions?

Peace

I didnt jump to conclusions, if you re-read my opening statement, I just asked the question if you had read the literature, as you have a lot of questions about your marker and that is always a good place to start.

No need to get pseudo-arsey, especially seeing as I went to lengths both here and elsewhere to answer your query as best i can right now.

No you cant get the stovck ego boards for the 05 and 06 and etek models to ramp over 15.4 bps. The way you could do this is to get a maniac board and frame (06) and add this to your 05 or 06 ego, or buy a maniac special edition 06 ego, or be blessed with getting an sl66 ego after the maniac came stock in them.

the alternative is to buy an aftermarket board such as virtue / tadao / lucky

sorry, that did come off a bit more arsey than I intended, and I do appreciate your help lovetone, especially your guide to reg-ing the ego, which helped me out a lot.

Apologies for any offense caused, blame it on the weather.

Peace and love

he may be grumpy...;);), but he knows his egos:D
its just my prose tom makes me appear more a grump than i am. haha

for the record russ, if you want to upgrade, id recommend the 06 star frame with maniac board. very adjustable, very easy to use, ramps to 25 bps, and is fully customisable. plus it looks cool and the trigger is sweet.
