bottle?

will my gas bottle be damaged in any way if i leave air in it for 2 weeks? (approx 3000psi)

Nah, it'll be fine mate, I had a steel tank that had 2000psi in it for 3 years, it was only when I got it retested they emptied it and it passed with no problems. :)

its like saying if you leave water in a glass for a while will it leak?

The things are built for that job, holding high presure in there for years proberly not the best idea but it wont hurt it :)

it'll be fine the only problem is it will lose a tiny bit of pressure over time, either that or the guage isnt reading it properly.
If you have a slight leak! If you leave them pressurised it is better for the reg as it keeps every thing in place, I believe that you ar supposed to keep air in dive tanks (i.e. pressurised) while stored. :)
