well as far as i no all pi bottles are 5yr tests so it would be 05/06 2008, but if yoor bottle is a 3yr test it will obviously be 05/06 2006. if i was you i would give h-pac a ring google it or im sure some lovely person will post up a number for you
The 06 is what was confusing me. If this was made before the 5 year retest law was put in place, does that mean I have to get it re-tested in 3, or do I disregard that and go with 5?
u need them tested every five years, when i got my dive tanks filled the guy in the local shop said just recently when he was filling them that, are these used fpr diving? and i said no, paintball.
he then said u should have told me that when i tested them cuase he put a retest date for 2 years when it should really be five.

Dive tanks used for paintball need a visual inspection every 2 ½ years and hydro test every 5 year. Something about not being exposed to water.
I had two HSE bottles tested by H-Pac. And according to the certificate the next re-test date was in 5 years. Tim Rudge from H-Pac told me the same.

the 1st test for a HSE bottle is 3 years then after you get it tested it becomes a pye test bottle and last 5 years. (the test makes it pye standard)
