Right then i have a spare fibre wrapped bottle here with a 3000psi reg
my question is is the bottle also rated to 3000psi or can i pop a 4500psi reg in it and charge it to 4500psi without my missus having to call the paramedics to come and scrape me off the walls???

thanks

In reality a 3000psi bottle could probably take 7000 odd psi but i wouldn't recomend trying it lol.

The only way to be sure is to look at the label on the bottle - the working pressure is usually indicated as something like "PW310" which means 310bar (i.e. 4500psi.) Don't confuse it with the test pressure (PHxxx), which will be a higher number. 3000psi tanks will have a working pressure of 207bar or maybe 232bar.
