Bottle o-rings

We have supplied hundreds of thousands of o-rings to the paintball trade and to individual users, but we still have little understanding why people prefer one type of bottle oring over another

We are currently supplying

Nitrile 70
Nitrile 90
Injection moulded polyurethane
Liquid cast polyurethane

Any comments?

For bottle o-rings in general I would consider it a disposable seal, and nothing special required on the materials
Having bought a bulk batch in the last few years (and also using thread covers) I won't be needing replacements for a good while, even when giving them away to any other player with a leak

They only need to maintain the bottle seal, and as i use thread covers on the cylinder they don't get a hard life

People may have a personal preference on material.

For other o-ring use it will differ. For marker o-rings it can be either copying the manufacturers selection which may vary according to the indivual o-rings job, or a player 'upgrading' to a harder wearing / smoother / less friction o-ring
