My bottle is 4500 and it has a 3000 nipple (the one in the pic)
Where would we find out and who would know?

There has been much discussion over the use of fill adapters for high-pressure systems. As you know, we chose a different fill nipple for 4500-psi bottles. This was done with the safety of the player and field staff in mind. There are a couple key problems that this change was meant to avoid:
1) Over filling 3000 psi tanks with 4500 psi. (Extremely easy to do if you are using the same fill nipple and not paying attention to the pressure on the bottle.)
2) The original fill nipple not being tough enough to hold 4500 psi. If you check with Parker Hannifin (the largest air accessory manufacture in the world) there standard 1/8" pipe threaded quick coupler is only rated to 4200 psi. That gives the non-rated fill nipple the potential blowing off the bottle at 4500 psi.).
So we have gone to the drawing board and released a new type of 4500-psi fill nipple. This nipple is connectable to the standard quick coupler, but is unique in several ways. (Examples colour, size, shape)
