Bottle Expiry dates

Is it only air bottles that need stamping every 3(?) years?

If you are in the UK, can you get a DOT bottle re-stamped??

Yes every 3 years and yes you can get DOT tested as a DOT

if you send a dot bottle to planet for testing the drill a nice big hole in it for you.....and no, im not making that up.

-there maybe other places you can get them tested though, dive centers and stuff

Think this has been said on another forum, but DOT bottles arnt supposed to/wont be tested to HSE standard cos they aren't up to it. Risk of blowing up

I think its 3 years for fiber wrapped bottles, and 5 years for steel bottles.

Slightly off the subject but useful to know.. . . . .

After speakin to the good people where I get my air fills, Aqualogistics in Stockport who specialise in bottle testing.

The story of getting a DOT bottle HSE tested is this.... call them with the make and model of the bottle (which should be printed on it) they'll be able to tell/find out for you whether the DOT bottle can be tested to HSE level, so if it is then they'll do it for you!

They'll also test any other bottle you've got as well!!

Give them a call on 0161 480 5745 and they'll sort you out!
