After settling the debate over the writing on my bottle, and finding out it is out of test, i have now found the neck of the bottle hasbeen stamped with a date; 07/2004.
The Date does not correspond with when the bottle dropped out of test, so it cant be a "death date" stamped by a manufacturer.

I have edited over the picture as the markings showed up poorly.

The opposite side of the neck has been stamped with the numbers " 9 5 2 ".

What i really want to know is; is this a retest stamp made in July 2004? and does that therefore mean my bottle is in test?

Many thanks.

I would have thought that is a test, rather than an end date. I think the early bottles only gave a born date, rather than an end date.
The 952 is probably it's serial number. Can you take a pic of the main bottle area, assuming there is info on the bottle.
If it it a test date, then yes it would probably have had a 3 year test, or maybe a 5 year, so the next test is 07/2007 or 07/2009.

I just had a search for your earlier thread about this bottle, and as others have said, the born date is 10/2001. So you have 15 years life from that date, 10/2016.
The new stamped dates will be a test that was done on 07/2004, so you will have by the look of the bottle type, a 3 year test from that date. You may want to ask the seller if they have the certificate they were given when the bottle was tested. Failing that ask them where it was tested, and you can contact the testing station and ask for a duplicate certificate.

I would phone hpac if it's them at the tourney, and ask them to have a look at this thread.
One thing you could try, have a look for dive shops in the area that the bottle came from. Give them a ring to see if they've done the test, then ask for a duplicate cert.
I would have thought you would be fine, but the certificate would help.
