got a bottle. everybody thinks its totally fine except for this one dude, just trying to prove weather it is infact wrong or if its legal and oerfectly safe.

right....
got a 3000psi bottle, says on the reg bit(just under the bit that screws in)
3000# service only
Replace rupture disc
Assembly with type
REH 5000 only
Do not remove label

and then on the brass knuckle thing inline with the fill nipple its says 5000.

it doesnt say anything about 5000psi which ive got a feeling the dude was interpreting it as.

anyone help??

if the bottle says 3000psi and the connector says 5000psi, then only fill it to the lowest value, 3000psi...

surely thats just simple common sense? unless ive grasped the situation totally wrong cause im a cu-nt?

yeah i only fill it to 3000psi as thats the value of the bottle.
just the guy was saying that a 5000psi burst disk was just a tiny weeny bit over the 3000psi value of the bottle.

but it doesnt state 5000psi just 5000???

hope thats shed some light on the problem

think my 4500 psi bottle has a 7500 burst disk, but i could be wrong.

I heard that when bottles are tested that they take them to 2.1x thier safe working pressure. I could be wrong twice though.

correct bottles are tested to way more than their working pressure and the burst disc is designed to take more than the working pressure but burst before it reaches test pressure

exact figures im not sure....try emailing hpac im sure they can help
