Ive been lurking on here for a couple of weeks just trying to catch up, loads of info on here its great.

I used to play about 6-7yrs ago and am just getting back into it.

I want a new marker (pref electric) and i have about £300 tops.

I already have an A5 that has seen better days, could do with a strip down and new o-rings its been sat there for so long.

So im after an electronic marker, something reliable as i wouldnt have a clue where to start if something went wrong, something fairly easy to work on incase something does go wrong, and something that has a few firing modes like ramping etc.

I will be playing in the woods but im leaning towards a tourny style marker instead of a milsim type.

I like the look of the Invert Mini, what are people views on this? ive read it can be a bit hit or miss tho?

A second hand etek 3? (my fav so far) but im unsure of getting one second hand incase its a lemon.

The other option within budget, a fair bit below budget its the GoG envy, extcy and G1. (cant find much info on these tho)

So some good honest opinions and reviews would be ace - why you wouldnt and why you would!

I play with a mini and love it, dead small light and compact, really easy maintenance but I find mines a bit harsh on tournament grade paint.

Etek or any planet guns are a win, you cant go wrong with them. Mate of mine still has an Ego 05 and it never fails even though its 6 years old.

The GoG range are basically smartparts guns, search for reviews on vibes or ions as they're pretty much the same. (Ive still got an ion as a back up and its usually pretty reliable with the right care)

It does look very nice but what extras apart from the ASA will i be paying for over the mini, they look nearly identical?

Ok, The AXe hasnt been out very long has it? so finding one used will be problematic i imagine.

So a brand spanking new mini or used Etek 3?

Don't rule out second hand Minis, they're going for stupid money nowadays. I picked up mine for £150, the guy I bought it from said it had only shot a few hundred balls, even if it was an elaborated truth it arrived in pristine condition. There are some bargains to be had if you look hard enough.

The Etek range is fantastic in itself. I had an Etek 1, and it never once let me down. Planet are notoriously reliable. The only reason I went for the Mini over this was because I prefer single tubed markers rather than stacked tube, entirely preferential. You could also look into the Ego range for that money - 08's should be within that range, maybe even 09's.

Im a bit wary about buying a used mini as it seems a fair few have problems, and it would be just my luck i would get the friday afternoon marker. I wouldnt hesitate if it was a 2011 model though
