Boring out Sterling Pump grip to accept wider diameter barrel... ideas?

Hi all,

I've got a Sterling Pump and have had a Freak Kit made up to fit the threads but now need to either get the existing pump handle bored out to a slightly wider ID or buy a new pump grip that will fit.

My slight concern over boring out the existing handle is that the threaded portion that accepts the pump rod isn't a million miles away from the area that needs to be bored out...

Any ideas?

Errm... you any good with sizes of taps? I can probs make you one at raw materials cost if you can tell me what tap size the pump arm is and the diameter of your freak...

The new sterling seems to have a bigger diameter hole in pump. My STP grip's a pretty loose fit on a freak back i was shooting last Sunday. If the new/old pumps grips are interchangeable it may be easier to swap?
